Inventory & Production Management System – Backend Development Summary

This project is a complete inventory, production, and assembly management system built for a furniture manufacturing workflow. My primary focus was developing a secure, scalable, and automated backend to manage products, components, stock, serial numbers, production stages, and order fulfillment.

Key Backend Contributions

Advanced Inventory Architecture
Designed a relational backend structure for products, product variants, components, serial tracking, stock movements, adjustments, and warehousing.

Automated Production Flow
Implemented backend logic that auto-triggers production requests whenever stock is low or order requirements exceed available inventory.

Multi-Stage Production Tracking
Created APIs to manage production stages such as Cutting, Bending, Welding, and Painting, including quantity passed, wastage tracking, and stage progression rules.

Serial Number Management System
Developed a robust serial tracking module for both components and finished products, enabling precise traceability across production, assembly, and stock transfers.

Assembly Management Engine
Built backend logic to attach component serial numbers to finished products during assembly and auto-generate serials for completed units.

Order & Billing Processing
Designed the backend for orders, order items, invoices, payments, and shipment workflows, ensuring accurate stock deduction and validation.

Safeguarded Stock Operations
Created rollback-safe operations using database transactions for stock in/out, serial generation, and production status changes.
